Agami Team Members

Our core team is comprised of individuals from different organizations working to realize the Agami vision

SUPRIYA SANKARAN    Supriya  is an entrepreneur, lawyer and former Director of Ashoka India who, over the last eight years at Ashoka, has supported the launch of over 100 social entrepreneurs, redesigned Ashoka's Fellowship Support Program and co-created collaborative initiatives such as the Wellbeing Project. Prior to joining Ashoka, she was a Principal Associate at the leading law firm Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi where she led several capital market transactions. She is a graduate of NALSAR Hyderabad.

SACHIN MALHAN    Sachin  is an entrepreneur, lawyer and former Executive Director of the global Changemakers program at the leading global non-profit  Ashoka . Before Ashoka, Sachin created ventures at the intersection of law, education and impact -  Law School Tutorials  (LST), the national leader in law test prep,  Rainmaker  (which also birthed  Vahura  and  myLaw ) and Inclusive Planet which contributed to policy change for the visually impaired. Sachin is an INK Fellow and a graduate of NLSIU Bangalore.

SACHIN MALHAN

Sachin is an entrepreneur, lawyer and former Executive Director of the global Changemakers program at the leading global non-profit Ashoka. Before Ashoka, Sachin created ventures at the intersection of law, education and impact - Law School Tutorials (LST), the national leader in law test prep, Rainmaker (which also birthed Vahura and myLaw) and Inclusive Planet which contributed to policy change for the visually impaired. Sachin is an INK Fellow and a graduate of NLSIU Bangalore.

KEERTHANA MEDARAMETLA   Keerthana completed her LL.M from Harvard University in 2018 where she focused on gender and the law, criminal law, human rights and development. Prior to that she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Constitutional Law, Policy, and Governance at National Law University, Delhi where she led the Prison Advocacy Project. She is passionate about creating opportunities that work better for systems of law and justice. She is a graduate of NLU Delhi.

KEERTHANA MEDARAMETLA

Keerthana completed her LL.M from Harvard University in 2018 where she focused on gender and the law, criminal law, human rights and development. ARTIKA RAJ   Artika is a media enthusiast who prior to being at Agami, was Associate Director, Framework Change at Ashoka India. As Managing Editor at Youth Ki Awaaz, she helped build the platform and team which has a 4 million + reach  today , bringing together the best practices in storytelling for social impact. She also led the launch of YKA’s zine on Queer rights - Cake. As an ICFJ-NewsCorp Fellow she’s served with the digital team of the Wall Street Journal in New York. A Master’s in English Literature from Miranda House, DU, she enjoys chai and books, together preferably.

ARTIKA RAJ

Artika is a media enthusiast who prior to being at Agami, was Associate Director, Framework Change at Ashoka India. URVI BAGARIA   Urvi is passionate about using storytelling and media for social change. Prior to joining Agami, she worked as a Paralegal at Cuti Hecker Wang LLP, a civil rights litigation firm in New York. There she assisted on cases of sexual harassment, police misconduct, employment & housing discrimination, and prisoner’s rights. She completed her BA in Psychology and Politics from New York University in 2016. When she isn’t working, you’ll find her binge-watching shows on Netflix, or feeding her penchant for travel.

URVI BAGARIA

Urvi is passionate about using storytelling and media for social change. Prior to joining Agami, she worked as a Paralegal at Cuti Hecker Wang LLP, a civil rights litigation firm in New York. GAURAV JAIN   Gaurav is an entrepreneur, writer and editor who built India’s leading feminist digital portal The Ladies Finger and the award-winning boutique media house Grist Media. Previously, he was Literary Editor at Tehelka magazine, where he won the RedInk Award for Investigative Journalism. As Senior Manager at Corporate Executive Board (CEB), he managed multi-tiered business research teams in Washington DC, London and Gurgaon. He holds English Literature and Engineering degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

GAURAV JAIN

Gaurav is an entrepreneur, writer and editor who built India’s leading feminist digital portal The Ladies Finger and the award-winning boutique media house Grist Media. Previously, he was Literary Editor at Tehelka magazine, where he won the RedInk Award for Investigative Journalism. As Senior Manager at Corporate Executive Board (CEB), he managed multi-tiered business research teams in Washington DC, London and Gurgaon. He holds English Literature and Engineering degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

VYJAYANTHI MALA   Vyjayanthi Mala is the Data for Justice Lead at Agami. She has extensive experience in the IT industry across a variety of program management, Software Development Life Cycle and Transformation roles, in organizations like Genpact and Accenture. She went on to start her own venture, W'heal Our World, which is a unique Ridesharing app that gives users an opportunity to reduce pollution & traffic by ridesharing and also contribute to social organizations featured in the App. She has post graduation degrees in Business Administration, Computer Applications & Commerce.

Vyjayanthi Mala is the Data for Justice Lead at Agami. She has extensive experience in the IT industry across a variety of program management, Software Development Life Cycle and Transformation roles, in organizations like Genpact and Accenture. Shalini previously taught at the School of Law, Environment, and Planning, Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology and was a Visiting Lecturer at the Foreign Services Institute, New Delhi, ESSCA School of Management, Shanghai, and National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU). She is passionate about understanding how legal change can further the goals of justice and equality and about communicating legal issues to broader audiences. Shalini holds degrees from NLSIU and International University College, Turin. She has also never met an old bookstore that she didn't love.
