The Challenge is drawing on a simple idea: Researchers, journalists, civil society organizations, law firms and companies have invested significant time and resources in the creation of valuable datasets in the field of law and justice. What if they could share, build upon and collaborate on each others datasets and tools? What if easy-to-use tools could enable the analysis and interoperability of diverse datasets?
Disputes are a healthy and essential aspect of a functioning democracy and market but our current platforms of dispute resolution, most notably the courts, are not able to serve our needs due to the huge pendency of cases before the courts. The E-ADR Challenge invited teams from around the world to develop a technology-driven institution that will enable large volumes of disputes to be resolved online, affordably, and expediently, through arbitration and to be a platform for other mechanisms of alternate dispute resolution, including mediation and conciliation.
Agami organised its first-ever AgamiShaala, a uniquely designed space for learning and exploring, from July 18-21, 2019 at the beautiful fishing town of Marari, Kerala. The 3 day exploration brought together a wonderful group of people, leaders and innovators, working in the space of law and justice.
